what are you wearing under your wedding dress?

taken from www.wedbykez.com

I don't mean to get too personal but what are you wearing under your dress?

I've never really understood the point of forking out hundreds on shoes for a wedding if they are hidden under a big princess or long flowing dress.

Nor is it a good idea to have heels if you have the Kidman / Cruise thing going on.

The solution - flip flops!…

are you a below average bride?

wedding costs on the rise?

On NXFM this afternoon there was a kicker story about how the GFC has not effected the amount of money couples are spending on their wedding. Averaging out at $32,000 (which contradicts a previous Herald article) for the whole kit and kaboodle the focus is always on the Brides and Grooms who spend lavish amounts on their big… Continue

are you having guests or an audience at your wedding?

taken from www.wedbykez.com

are you a bride or an actor?

At a boozy work dinner on Thursday night a girlfriend made a comment about weddings she had been to where she had felt like she was watching a play.

I had to give this some serious thought and realised that in my 30 years I had been to a few performance weddings myself. The kind of wedding where you, a guest, seem to spend ample hours standing around watching things happen.

But Kez, I… Continue

attacking your seating plan

taken from www.wedbykez.com

wedbykez seating plan In a perfect world all the guests at your wedding would get along enough to be able to be seated next to each other for an entire meal. In this perfect world you would easily drop those unwanted kilos just minutes before trying on your dream dress, and would not be overcharged when you mention purchasing anything for a wedding.

Oh, if only life were so perfect.

Truth is,… Continue

know your dress types (before you buy your gown)

Walking into a bridal shop or dress makers may be confusing if they start throwing terms around that you have never heard off. If you don't know your Basque waist from your Ballgown the below will clear out the confusion and make dress shopping a dream..

are weddings too expensive?

taken from www.wedbykez.com

wedbykez rich bride Weddings are expensive, any couple knows that regardless of what decade they got married. If you compare the average wedding in 2004 was $28,700 to the what no seems outrageous $50,000 in 2009 you can see what a healthy industry weddings are.

But mine, is not to question whether $50,000 is an astronomical amount. If we, as a society, are guilty of promoting the "wedding" over the… Continue

The short answer is - no but again, there are always exceptions to the rule.wedbykez bride with computer

Wedding planning software is just a packaged version of the tools already available on your own computer at home. The software ranges in price from $50 to $500 dollars and there are as many good versions as their are rip-offs. Like with most software available on the internet -unless it comes from a… Continue

photobooth your wedding and make it flashy

In what has to be one of the coolest "quirks" to a wedding reception Wedbykez has found the latest craze in the US. Photo booths!

Not to replace your wedding photographer (who's job it is to make you look amazing) the photo booth is set up in the corner of your dance floor and guests are invited to jump in and take as many happy snaps as the can.

the wedding crasher (post wedding depression)

Nowhere near as fun as Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughan crashing your reception is a nasty case of Post-Wedding Depression that can affect brides after their big day.

There are numerous reasons why a bride or groom might fall crash after their big day.

Will your wedding cost your friends?

Taken from wedbykez.com

I recently noticed on a friends facebook a comment about the expense she was paying to be a bridesmaid in a wedding.

The bride was obviously wanting a particular dress that cost $495 dollars US ($586.70 AUD). Now I don’t know about most people but $500 + on a dress is not something I would normally consider unless a) The Dress made me look like Angelina Jolie or b) it was the most important day… Continue
