When did you fall in love with him/her?

I was sitting here, sending off templates to my sister in law who is getting married this coming August, and I got to thinking...in the process of planning our weddings, often times, we get so wrapped up in the details and the complexities of the elaborate event we're preparing, and forget why we chose to say yes in the first place.

In keeping with my previous article, our husbands and our husband's to be, still need to be acknowledged as much as we do. And I wondered if I had to… Continue

Do you “need” wedding favors in this economy?

Brides are asking this question these days, and it’s an important one. My opinion is, if it’s a special and unique gift that people will actually keep and appreciate – then yes, they are worth it.

I’ve never understood using “throw away” or edible favors. Isn’t the point to give your guests something special that they will remember your wedding by?

Earlier this year, we expanded our products from holiday bells to include wedding bells because we felt that this meaningful,… Continue

Vendor Marketing Tip: 6 Faster Ways to Use Social Media

Social media can eat up your time if you're not careful. Leo Babauta is an author who provides tips to stay efficient: Stick to simple tools, send only high-impact messages, learn to scan, stick with the most valuable social networks, form valuable relationships and manage time wisely.

Part of the reason why I created BridalTweet was I realized that vendors were effectively connecting with strangers on Twitter but they weren't able to form deeper, valuable relationships… Continue

A Toast to the Happy Couple

A best man once said…”I've heard that a best man speech should be as long as it takes for the groom to make love...so thanks everyone, enjoy the night”

Why is a best man speech usually so much funnier than a maid of honor speech?

And now that rehearsal dinners are the mandatory pre-game event, there are entire nights dedicated to men trumping women. With rehearsal dinners popping up as often as Internet photos of Adam Lambert, we thought it was important to inform… Continue

Philadelphia Bridal Networking Event

Attended the Philadelphia BRIDES.COM Networking Event last night at F.U.E.L.

Wow! A beautiful venue to have your wedding. Of course I had heard of F.U.E.L. from many of our brides but this was my first affair there and I was really impressed.

The Host, BRIDES.Com did a beautiful job and everyone shared business cards, talked weddings and enjoyed the bar, music and food. Many wedding professionals from the burbs and the city got to catch up and meet and greet. We all have so much… Continue

Tired of Old Traditions? Invent New Ones.

Just one dilemma facing modern brides today is the debate over embracing or rejecting traditional notions of weddings, and marriage for that matter. While there really is no right or wrong answer in this debate, one way couples may decide to approach planning is to first consider how your wedding is a fantastic platform to express your personalities and convictions.

This is your opportunity as a couple to give your family and friends a deeper insight into who you are. When else are… Continue

Letterpress wedding invitations are a must have. You can actually feel and see the impression made into the paper, and you can choose from a wide range of paper, including organic, homemade and tree free.

When your guests receive a letterpressed invitation in the mail, it will feel more like a gift than an invitation. While letterpress offers a unique style, feel, depth and beauty that cannot be matched by other printing styles, it comes at an increased cost.

Tips on Organizing your Photos

Before you download your photos from your camera delete all the photos that weren’t to your liking. This will free up space on your computer and make it easier to organize when you want to put them in a photo book. If you take lots of photos every month categorize your photos my month. If you mainly take photos just on special occasions or on vacations categorize them per occasion. This will make it easier to organize when you want to preserve these special memories in a beautiful hardbound… Continue

New Hotel Approach in Austria

Pixel hotel invites its guests to spend their stay in Linz residing in not-your-everyday accommodations but in a Pixel hotel providing a very unconventional sort of lodging.

The individual rooms and suites are dispersed throughout the entire city. All over town, there are interesting but unused premises that are being converted into hotel rooms in conjunction with this urban development and architectural project.
