1.
ASK Questions - When you purchase your gown, make sure you ask the salon/ seller for all of the pertinent information. In order to sell your gown you will need to know the designer's style number/name (not the salon issued style number), the collection season and year, and the retail price. In addition, if you are purchasing a pre-owned wedding dress, ask if the…

1. Set realistic expectations
First and foremost the bride and groom should sit down and discuss their individual visions for the wedding. Secondly, all parties who are contributing to the cost of the event should have some say in the plans. But that doesn't mean they get to run the show. It's best to discuss each person's role before beginning the planning process. Compromise may be necessary to resolve differences but the bride and groom should never have to bow to every demand.…

I love handkerchiefs. I love the whimsy of them, the subtly femininity of them and the vintage nostalgia associated with them. At my wedding I used them as napkins. We had vowed to be as sustainable as possible and i had the thought that I could kill two birds with one stone by making the "necessities" like glassware and napkins double as favors. I'm guessing the guests caught on quick because at the end of the night, there weren't very many napkins to be found…

We were very excited for Suzie and Lazurus's Baltimore wedding on June 11, 2011. This was going to be one epic day! They were having two different ceremonies- a Catholic Mass and an Orthodox Greek ceremony! Suzie got ready at the Baltimore Mariott Water Front Hotel. She was Stunning!!!! She had chosen the perfect dress and two different pairs of shoes! While there was some problems with her flowers- Al and I stepped right in fixing them and putting that smile right back on her…

One of the coolest museums in Philly is
Eastern State Penitentiary. You may remember that Al and I went there this year for Valentines Day- I wrote a post about it in Feb. It is such a beautiful and creepy place at the same time. I was so Excited when Marybeth and Tim decided to do a Mess-the-Dress-Session there. How cool was that!!! Al and I met with an employee and they gave us a tour of all the "closed areas". This way we could decide what areas we…

I love this idea. A bachelorette party photo shoot. Whether you will head out for a night on the town or have a nice afternoon lunch with a couple of your favorite cocktails, why not professionally capture this momentous gathering of you and your best friends? This should become a tradition, who's with me?! Do you plan on a photographer for your bachelorette party?
p.s. Insanely adorable…

If the catchword for your wedding is "quaint," we can only suggest
Old St. Hilary in Tiburon. Wreathed in rare and gorgeous wildflowers, the surroundings are surreal. A picture-postcard little white church is set high on the hillside of the intimate community of Tiburon. As you look out over the bluff, you can see miles of the beautiful blue San…

Hi I am Jenna and I am addicted to tanning. Not the cancer causing lay in the bed kind of tanning I am talking about a great spray tan. A spray tan instantly makes you look thinner, more toned, evens out your skin tone and adds a glow you just can't get anywhere else. Okay maybe the day you were engaged you had the glow and the day you get married you will but that's about it. Although I am all for spray tanning for your big day, there are many things that come along with spray tanning that I…

The wedding reception brunch trend is one that I hope doesn't go away any time soon. A wedding like this one is a testament as to why. A yummy omelet bar with a coffee and tea station make for some seriously happy guests. Also, those muffin place settings are genius! And ridiculously easy, cute and delicious too.… Continue
