Tenderness Of Traditions: The Wedding Gown Part 2.

Just about a week ago, we established just what a wedding gown mean to a bride. We know that the gown is more than what they’ll wear on what they consider to be one of the most important days of their lives. A dream realized from the first time they saw that “special” little boy whom made them giggle and of she went, dreaming of what their wedding day… Continue

A stylish Trash the Dress session

Heather and Christian got married last year in August. I have thoroughly enjoyed being there on their day.

It was to my nice surprise that almost one year later Christian contacted me thinking to surprise Heather for their first anniversary by offering her a 'trash the dress' session with me. He knew his wife would be absolutely thrilled to wear her gorgeous dress again.

So here I went to Barrie on an amazingly beautiful September day. We had, again, a lot of fun together.… Continue

Letterpress Wedding Invitations Shop Around and See Who is the Best What a Bing Search Reveals

While the word Google creeps into our vocabulary (and homepages) on a daily basis, we sometimes forget that there are alternative search engines available. In the past year Bing, a new Microsoft entity, has been creating quite a stir on the internet.

Advertised as a “decision engine,” this new type of search engine supposedly gives better results and more accurately organizes websites when you search.

I decided it was time to test the theory

There are photographers and brides out there whose weddings a shot list might be appropriate for. For instance–possibly a traditional film photographer who will only be shooting a certain number of photos on the wedding day. Or a bride who prefers traditional staged photography.… Continue

Will you Martini Me?

Smaller Martini Glasses and Cordial Glasses are excellent choices for aperitif but can also be used in other "non-traditional" ways. Martini Glasses can be combined with skewers of chocolates as a favor, and Cordial Glasses can be used as tealight holders. Plan to mix and match. Encourage your guests to take the glass home as a reminder of the event. You may even wish to attach imprinted ribbon for an added personal… Continue

Wonderful day for a wedding, what started out as a dreary, chilly day bursted into sunshine. I arrived at the aunties house and began a day of beauty with a bride I had previously trialed with. I had seven heads of hair and one face to make beautiful. Relaxing and having comforts of good friends, along with the favorite mimosas.I got to work and finished on cue with photographer ready to aim and the bride to smile Bridal hair for her was long curls, with sides and top pulled up slight teasing,… Continue

Tips for buying a wedding dress - body shape

Tips for buying a wedding dress - body shape

Pear shaped brides want to buy a wedding dress that puts emphasis on their small waistline. They could also ideally get away with wearing a strapless or off the shoulder dress with a full skirt. The Cinderella gown is perfect for this body shape.

The Apple shaped brides should wear dresses that balance out their shape by avoiding defined waistlines. An empire styled bridal gown would be perfect for the apple shaped bride. A dropped…

Ask The Wedding Expert: A Recipe for a Happy Marriage

I was asked this week by a client, “What is the secret that has made your marriage last forever?” As I thought about the question, I pulled out my wedding scrapbook, and showed my client this recipe card and stated this is what truly has made my marriage a success. I had provided a photocopy of the recipe card to this bride and I thought I would share this recipe on my blog of what has made my marriage a success over the years. I believe many people… Continue
