I have always dreamed of visiting Paris, France and in April of 2008, I not only spent 15 days there, I got engaged there, too! It is France's distant past, more so than its present, that I am in love with. The French have always had an eye for effortless (or so it seems) opulence and beauty. Long before the Eiffel Tower existed and before the Mona Lisa graced the Musee Louvre with her smile, French royalty dictated fashion. Like Marie Antoinette, the French do not follow trends, they set…

For all the brides who made "lose weight" a New Years resolution, here is another low carb dish. I found this recipe on Kimkins.com. Kimkins is like Adkins PUMPED up. It is stricter advising low carb as well as lower calories and fat intake. When I went on Kimkins in 2007, I lost 95 pounds in less than 6 months. Check out
Kimkins for more info.
Meanwhile, try this yummy dish....

What a bang to come back with.. tackling what is a hotly debated and emotional issue. One that people feel either passionate about or against. The inclusion of faith within a wedding ceremony.
While I have no intention of debating the existence of "God*" I feel that as a celebrant it's important for me to discuss and tell couples their…

Most people aren't happy when Sunday rolls around. To many, it signifies the end of the weekend. To me it's a day to sit on the couch in our family room with laptop in hand, a cup of coffee in the other and David and Jake (our Bichon Frise puppy) on the other end of the couch. Sunday gives me a time to peruse my favorite blogs slowly as I savor this lazy day and find beautiful things to share. It could be weddings, rooms, food, other cultures, and/or people. Sunday…

Today on the first day of the year I am going to eat whatever I want to! You won’t hear me say, “Oh, no I am on a diet!” or “I can’t have any cake it’s my New Year’s resolution!” Nope, not me because on the first day of the year, I’m celebrating and I am going to do as little or as much as I want. Who wants to start a brand new year with self-placed restrictions? I’m all for discipline but restrictions? Certainly not this lady. I will save that for the second day of the year. January 1st will…

There are many special moments that take place leading up to the day of a wedding. But which is your favorite? Could it be the initial egagement story or is it the parties leading up to. One aspect clearly mus be the beautiful flowers, the perfect gown that she has searched months for, and of course the ring where it is a symbol of the love that will last for a lifetime, my gosh you can't forget the ring. Could it be when the groom sees the bride for the first time, or when the newly married…

Yes, the big debate about pricing for wedding photography.
How do I justify such a price? What service should I offer? How much should I ask for such a task?
The greatest fallacy of digital photography is that many enthusiasts feel expensive camera = professional photography. There is absolutely no relationship between the two. Camera’s have reached such a high level that people can just point and shoot and get good results. That simply isn’t true. Sure the picture will be…

It happened twice in the last two weeks. Invitation customers waited too long to order their invitations. Now, they not only need the invitations but they need the print job rushed and their order shipped via 2 or 3 day delivery. I do everything in my power to accommodate their requests. As an invitation dealer this means I make several phone calls to the printer, this means any changes requested after a review of the first proof can't be proofed again because there is simply no time, and this…
