We just got the coolest gadget that has ever entered into the
DIY scene! A hand held tool that you use to
emboss your address onto your wedding invitation envelopes. With a beautifully contrasting image from typical letterpress invitation printing, embossed envelopes exist in a world unto themselves.

When we launched, I received a slew of "Where were you when I got married?", "I am so jealous I am done having babies and getting married, this would have been great!" and "Maybe I should get divorced so we can register again?!" All in jest, I'm sure, but we seem to have struck a cord with people walking a fine line between being super appreciative for all that they received and secretly wishing that they had just received money as gifts instead, to buy what they needed when the time was…

There are so many reasons to opt for vintage over a newly made wedding dress. Here are a few things on the top of my list:
1. The cool-factor. A vintage dress is sure to lend a vibe to your day that is as cool as it is unique. Whether your plan is to look like you just stepped off of an 80's catwalk or out of rockin 50's party, you can pull it off in style with a vintage dress.
2. Value. I think anyone would agree that the care and attention to detail taken with these dresses cannot…

Even though I work as a DJ, I would never criticize anyone's decision to hire live musicians to perform at their ceremony. Live music sounds wonderful and adds an elegant touch to a ceremony. Besides, many of my best friends are live musicians!
However, if you are having your ceremony at the same site as your reception, there are some advantages to having your DJ provide the ceremony music.
(1) You'll save money. Your DJ may charge a bit extra for the additional time,…

Although I'm not entirely sure I pronouce the name right I am entirely sure that I absolutely love love love this flower. While it's typically shown in pink and I don't necesarily consider myself a pink girl I still fell head over heels for it! Every blog I stalk, every inspiration board I drool over, it's there looking oh so lovely.
The softer side of peonies...
Bold, bright and absolutely beautiful!

Two years ago, when I decided to leave corporate America to start my own event business I did a year of research. In doing so I realized there were many multi-cultural couples engaged, yet there weren’t many planners focusing on multi-cultural weddings or adding a service to their repertoire that would assist these couples. I…

A Single Man, a movie by Tom Ford
This weekend, I plan to see Tom Ford's directorial debut of "A Single Man". Of course, I want to see his interpretation of this incredible book, but I am even more eager to see the vintage clothing used or recreated for the movie. There is…

Our current wedding fashion trends feel really diverse – you can have a wedding gown style based on pretty much any era of fashion and still be extremely fashionable.
So what’s in store for this year and next? What wedding dress styles are hot, or going to become hot? Some leading wedding gown designers were asked that same question, and the following are what they predicted.
1. Sexy Slinky Silhouettes
If you’ve got a fab figure (or fantastic suction underwear!), now…

For most brides, their hair style for their wedding is a dilemma. They are not sure whether to wear their hair all up, half down, or all down. I have 3 rules for determining the best hairstyle for you for your wedding day. As you read these keep in mind the overall affect that you want to achieve on your big day. The overall affect includes everything from the decor of the wedding to the wedding location; the time of day you will be getting married; the wedding and reception venue; and most…
