Up until one year ago, we were completely in the dark about this captivating deep wine and lavender bloom. As a florist of 13+ years, it is my job to know ALL about stunning beauties such as this dramatic Scabiosa named the Black Knight. After running across it one day at a small farmers market in Washington, I was enamored, and, as it…

Ties are often the most colorful part…

The best place to start is with something you know and love. And I love Piper’s Heath. Now, I will admit that I’m a bit biased in this opinion, as I hosted my very own wedding at this venue. Truly, I don’t have a bad word to say about them – from the people, to the venue itself, to the flow of the day. Everything was gorgeous and pain-free.
Piper’s Heath is located in Milton, ON on Trafalgar Rd. just south of Britannia. It is a relatively new course (opened in March 2007) and…

The dress you choose is one of the most personal aspects of your wedding as it speaks volumes not only about your personal style, but about the mood you want to set for the day. There are so many options out there, and it really is a matter of personal preference when it comes to the style of your dress. A trend that I’ve noticed out there recently is dresses with polka dots – so vintage, and so gorgeous! What a cute way to add some personality to an otherwise simple style.

A good wedding planner will save you time and energy by researching vendors, taking care of the many, many details, and coming up with various creative ideas to make your wedding amazing! Not to mention they usually know the best local vendors and can sometimes get you great discounts on services.

There are a lot of online tools out there that can help you organize your thoughts around your wedding. The Knot has a particularly nice offering of said tools. I personally used their Guest List Manager tool for my wedding, which allowed me to track guest information in one neat place.
Anyways, The Knot has a new tool that allows you to create your own Wedding Inspiration Board(s). You pick your template, add photos from their database or upload your own, et voila! Your own…

Do you like free stuff? I LOVE free stuff.
Because of this, we’ve decided that we would like to give away some free stuff by holding a wedding contest. We’ll feature it on Twitter, Facebook, and on this very lovely blog that you’re currently enjoying.
But we need some stuff to give away! Therefore we need sponsors. Do you have a product or service that you’re willing to share in exchange for some free (word of the day) advertising? Plus you would get to partner with Spark…
