What are Anniversary Rings really for?

As we have advanced into the new millennia, while we carry

some traditions with us, others have begun to wane...or change depending on societal

desire. We still wear wedding rings and engagement rings, but is the real

purpose behind Anniversary Rings long forgotten? Honestly, I really think

so, but this is not bad news ladies, this…

The Prince and the "Pauper"

Okay, so Kate Middleton is not really a pauper, but she is certainly no blue blood. Coming from a middle-class family, she met Prince William, second in line to the British throne, eight years ago while attending a Scottish university. About a month ago William proposed to Kate while vacationing in Kenya, rumor says with his late mother's killer blue sapphire engagement ring. The two plan to exchange wedding bands in spring or summer… Continue

Go beyond the status quo: men's wedding rings with practicality...and style!

Okay ladies, we all know men are practical. Traditionally that was the only requirement when selecting men’s wedding rings…practicality! The truth certainly remains that your groom wants a ring that will not get in the way of daily tasks, that

will feel comfortable on his finger, and a wedding band that does not

require too much maintenance. In the past, this meant traditional…

Less than one year after his incredibly romantic proposal atop an elephant in India, British comedian Russell Brand ties the knot to American pop star Katy Perry. Fresh off their honeymoon, they flash diamond wedding rings reported to be worth between $50k - $75k. What do you think of these? I really love the warm color, definite vintage appeal.

For the price, these rings are… Continue

Christian Wedding Rings: Celebrate Love and Faith

There are soooo many wedding bands available today. From antique to contemporary, from traditional to modern, there are styles for EVERYONE. It can also be really difficult to sift through the myriad wedding bands sold on the web, so I thought that I would highlight some of my favorite examples from time to time.

Dying Women's Wedding Rings Stolen!

We all know the news rarely reports anything positive and this story is no exception. I recently read on an ABC news website that two weeks before their ten year wedding anniversary, Michael Dale's wife Danielle died in a California hospital. Not only was her lethal bout with cancer tragic, but so is the fact that while she lay dying some jerk stole her wedding rings!

Dale was offered $500 by the hospital, who says they feel terrible, but he doesn't care about the money, he just wants… Continue

Here in the US, we may have to worry about the best man getting too drunk at the reception or the wedding cake turning out wrong, but we certainly don't have the problems brides in other countries have. Is the "Little Blue Box" worth the hefty price tag?

Whether it comes to crystal for your wedding registry, gifts for your groomsmen, or a token of your gratitude for your mother-in-law to be, Tiffany and Co. has a great product line and does a killer job producing wedding rings, however; the jewelry manufacturer

should also be commended for something else, their super brilliant marketing

campaign. For the past century, women have gone gaga over the thought of

Gotta Have Platinum?? How to save BIG bucks...

Platinum is luxurious, platinum is sexy. Popularized in the early part of the 1900s, it continues to be one of the most desired metals for wedding and engagement rings, but it’s high price makes it out of reach for a lot of us, and what is more, it seems that as time goes on, platinum’s price will continue to rise. The good news is that this means your platinum wedding rings will not lose value over the years, but with prices… Continue

Here is a Little Vintage Ring 101...

Antiques are not just for your home! There is a lot of buzz regarding vintage or antique wedding rings and engagement rings. Detailed carvings in precious metals and vintage style diamond and gemstone cuts are becoming more popular, because in comparison to modern designs, they exude romance. Micro-pave work, bezel settings, milgrain edges, and engraved patterns are the vintage design elements seen in more and more modern day… Continue

Go Green with Your Wedding Rings!

Recently, pop singer Beyonce, was trashed for wearing over sized gold earrings. Not because they were visually over-the-top, but because there is a growing sentiment that gold is bad for the environment. This is not true for all gold, but much of the mining occurs in biologically rare places of the world, such as threatened rain forests. Not only does the act of mining tear apart the landscape and threaten poor animal homes, but hazardous materials like mercury can seep into the ground water… Continue

Romantic Brides love the Antiques

Hey all! While researching the popularity of antique wedding rings I have discovered that they are hotter than ever! I had thought that perhaps brides love the idea of where an antique ring has traveled and the love stories associated with them, but the reality is that most "antique" rings that are purchased are BRAND SPANKING NEW!

What does this mean?? That it is not the age or individual history that the bride loves, but… Continue
