Spring and Summer are the most popular seasons for weddings. That is why I was so excited when I finally got a hold of the Pantone color planner for spring/summer 2010. Every year, Pantone develops new themes and color schemes that can be used with letterpress wedding invitations that range from formal to fun, custom, unique and traditional.
To give you a head start and get those creative invitation juices flowing, I decided to give you a couple swatch samples of the newest colors to…

A wedding without any candle is so not a wedding. It is hard to imagine a very significant day – a religious ceremony – without the soft glow of candles that create solemnity and romance into a wedding ceremony. Wedding candles serve different...

Elise (22) and Wade (23) met through a case of mistaken identity. Elise mistook him for someone else and went to give him a good telling off, which got them talking and finally exchanging numbers. Wade thinks Elise just used it as an excuse to meet him but from that point on.. he was hooked on her!

I think it is so important that as you are starting a life together that you take into account all of the components that will make your dreams come true. For many people, owning a home is one of them. The system that we have come up with for couples old and new, even college graduates, makes this dream possible. Owning a home together is the foundation for building your life together, it is where you start a family, and where you gather to create…

In the state of the economy do couples prefer Monetary Gifts? Is it easier to use the gifts you get more wisely then in the past? As our economic world changes we need to use the gifts we receive better then we did in the past. Monetary gifts can be used for down payments on homes, they can be used on larger ticketed items which one individual might not be able to afford, or even investment purposes. eGifting was conceived upon the notion that normally we get one time to have our special day so…

The first step in planning a Hawaiian themed wedding is choosing the perfect location. When you think about Hawaii you picture lush outdoor landscapes full of tropical beauty. Depending on your location, this may seem like a big obstacle, but not if you think outside of the box. Check with local golf courses, parks, and if you are lucky enough to live in an area that has a beach, that is even better. You may not think of a golf course as being a “tropical location”, but many times they are…

I would like to offer a way to generate more traffic to your web site.
I'm an ex-Silicon Valley tech executive trying to make it in a more spiritually rewarding career as a portrait artist. I focus on hand painted, oil on canvas bridal and couples portraiture. My services are not as common as those which most of your provide and as such, I'm having to focus on ways to generate more web traffic and partnering strategies, in an attempt to be found by those brides who may not even know…

I so enjoyed speaking with all those brides-to-be who attended the Bridal Show in Concord, NH, on November 1st. And I did meet a few who had never heard of The Fells! So here's the pitch. The Fells is a historic site with a nineteenth century 22-room colonial revival summer home and fabulous gardens. We are located in Newbury on Lake Sunapee and have 85 conserved acres of landscaped grounds and woodlands. A Fells wedding is sophisticated and elegant…

Reduce, Re-use, Recycle
We've all heard this phrase from the time we were in elementary school. Usually, it applies to our daily grind- trying to limit the amount of paper we use, rinsing out jars and using them for other things, and of course putting anything we possibly can into the recycling bin. So how does this apply to weddings?
Well, I should first admit that this has nothing to do with saving the planet-- but it does have to do with saving you and your family a ton…

I've done enough blogging now to realise that I have been an amazingly lucky bride. In fact, I am incredibly blessed to have had such a smooth running wedding day and a fun filled reception.
A big part of this is because we made some very smart choices about the businesses we used as well as some well spent time on…

I was with one of my bridal clients for her last dress fitting and she had mentioned she had put on a little weight and stated she needed to go on a diet and start an exercise routine for the next few days until her wedding. I thought that might work, but then excused myself and stepped away from the fitting room and started to search around for different…

Just returned from the All About Honeymoons Convention at the Sandals Grande Ocho Rios and want to share that Sandals Grande Ocho Rios is a great place for honeymooners. The property is quite spread out with both a Riviera (Beach Side) and the Manor (Hill Side) and at first this may seem like a problem but their transportation system will get you anywhere fast and in a hurry. On top of that, the meals are plentiful and scrumptous a little walking is good. The staff was 1st rate, the rooms, were…
