Wedding Inspiration: Day & Night Nordic Charm

This weeks inspiration was influenced by the pale, light and airy scandinavian decor style I have been coveting recently for my own home, which can be quite dark at times. I dream of floods of light filling the place but instead it’s more dark and dreary so I have to cheat. By cheating I mean having pale walls and floors, and a lot of reflective surfaces to bring some of that cheery light into my home.

Whilst I sat fantasising about my Nordic style home last week, this inspiration…

A Mess the Dress behind bars!

One of the coolest museums in Philly is Eastern State Penitentiary. You may remember that Al and I went there this year for Valentines Day- I wrote a post about it in Feb. It is such a beautiful and creepy place at the same time. I was so Excited when Marybeth and Tim decided to do a Mess-the-Dress-Session there. How cool was that!!! Al and I met with an employee and they gave us a tour of all the "closed areas". This way we could decide what areas we… Continue

a beautiful day for an outside wedding!

On June 4, 2011 Tifini and Jose said "I do" under a beautiful canopy at Trump National Philadelphia Golf Course. The weather was simply beautiful. The perfect kind of day- deep blue sky with little white fluffy clouds and a little breeze! Tifini looked beautiful in a glamorous gown reminiscent of a golden age! The wedding was kept on the smaller side (about 80 guests and one honor attendant each). This kept the wedding very intimate and… Continue

Cleaning Jewels After the Beach

Wearing jewelry to the beach is an excellent and easy way to dress up your beach look! While jewelry may add some sparkle to your beach attire, after a day of sunscreen and sand it is likely that your jewelry will lose that sparkle.

The most effective way to clean your jewelry and get that sparkle back is to soak it in warm water and liquid dish…

Il Tulipano Wedding !!!

Brie and Ron were referred to us by a previous couple we worked with… They had their Ceremony at the Saint Ann’s Church in Raritan and following we all headed to their Reception at the “Il Tulipano”, located in Cedar Grove which is another of the many great venues in New Jersey… There is this little spot with a cascade, where to take couple, family and wedding party photos… The cocktail hour was held at a large patio, the “Tulip Terrace”,… Continue

Wedding Handkerchiefs!

I love handkerchiefs. I love the whimsy of them, the subtly femininity of them and the vintage nostalgia associated with them. At my wedding I used them as napkins. We had vowed to be as sustainable as possible and i had the thought that I could kill two birds with one stone by making the "necessities" like glassware and napkins double as favors. I'm guessing the guests caught on quick because at the end of the night, there weren't very many napkins to be found…

VALET PARKING FOR A WEDDING REHEARSAL

Dinner Setting

At one time, a wedding rehearsal dinner involved a small gathering of the wedding party, immediate family, and some out-of-town guests. Not anymore.

As the average cost of a wedding approaches $50,000, rehearsal dinners are following suit - often with guest lists of over 100. Some rehearsal dinners are starting to look like mini weddings.…

VALET PARKING FOR WEDDINGS

VALET PARKING FOR WEDDINGS

Wedding photo A wedding can take months, and even years, to plan. A couple planning a wedding wants everything to be flawless. After selecting the perfect wedding dress, attire, flowers, decorations, cakes, and so many other important little details, it might seem like parking is the least of your concerns.
