Whoever said that watching your best friend marry the man of her dreams is “priceless” was definitely not a bridesmaid.
A bridesmaid’s role is to be the emotional rock for the bride and along with that, bridesmaids are expected to attend every wedding event, irrespective of cost.
Brides...we know your big day has been planned since age 6 when the only important bank was your piggy bank, but times have changed and your friends are not recession proof. In case you haven’t…

A great idea for bridesmaids gifts is to give each a personalized tote to help them arrive organized and in style. With so many size choices you can personalize their style even more.
For the traveler, I suggest the roomy weekender tote that I personally love using. The zipper keeps everything tucked in safely.
If your bridesmaids would need something water resistant the very cute and roomy tote with striped handles is only slightly smaller and would handle just about anything-a couple…

Here are some things to look for when choosing a florist:
1. How do they deliver their flowers? If they do not deliver their bouquets in a vase with water, then walk. They clearly will be delivering flowers that will have been out of the water for quite some time. There is no excuse for this. By night's end, your bouquets will need to be thrown away - not so good if you would like to keep them a few days or preserve them.
2. When you ask them for flower choices, do they…

Anyone can video a wedding...anyone can take pictures at a wedding....but to do it professionally...to do it right...to do it so it is a keepsake to be handed down throughout the years...that takes a professional...and it takes many years to learn to do it correctly....especially when working with HD and with sound.

This can "not" be the price for full editing and authoring to DVD with interactive menu also....."no way"!!!!! If it is, please let me know. I'd love to see the finished product. Thanks, Bobbe

Here are a few observations that my crew has found that are true with most weddings, no matter where they are held:
1. You will always have some guests that will not dress up. But a ratty baseball cap worn during the ceremony and the reception????
2. Lemon peels do not burn in the votive cups, but rose petals will. Crystal droplets only smother out the flame and yes, wax poured out on table linens really does ruin the linen.
3. The table decorations are not for…

Make a Best Mans Speech
Standing behind the groom as he waits for his bride in the altar is what a best man normally does. But added to this very simple task comes a not so effortless one - the best man speech.
In a wedding, the speech of the best man is one of the most anticipated parts of the program. Of course, it won't be complete without best man speech jokes to provide the formal celebration with a touch of laid back and fun atmosphere. But how do you exactly define…

As I have said before, every year I like to attend the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. I had never heard of Sarah Ruhl’s Dead Man’s Cell Phone before, but I am absolutely thrilled that I got the chance to see it. Not only did the actors do a superb job performing a wonderful story, but, there were a couple very positive references to letterpress printing that I do not often see in works of art.

Most brides have heard the saying "something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue." These are things the bride is supposed to wear on her wedding day for good luck.I love the real meanings behind traditions . Here is what I have to share for today's brides that may be curious about what these wedding words mean for their wedding day.
"Something old" symbolizes the couple's friends and family who will remain close during their marriage."Something new"signifies the…

What Is Modern Wedding Etiquette?
Debrett's Explain..
The wedding season is upon us and here at Debrett's we are frequently asked: what is modern wedding etiquette? Etiquette is constantly evolving and many traditions and conventions don't fit comfortably into the wedding day. Many brides and grooms are throwing the rulebook out of the window in the desire to have the wedding day that they want, rather than one that convention created.
Does this mean that…

So recently I was at a Recession Bride's Workshop, where one of the couples there were the hosts of The Broke-Ass-Bride and during the seminar we began talking about photographers. Dana started to share on how their photographer was holding a contest to give away a wedding package. This was something I had thought about in the past but never knew how I would lay it out. Well I got to work the following Monday and started talking to my Co-Worker Paul Manke, an amazing photographer, and he gave…
