HELP! I need to save money on my wedding

For the DIY bride there are lots of ways to save money on your wedding. While some of these locations/ideas are specific to my local area, they could easily be adapted to other locations.

Save on:

Food

Look at some of the local restaurants for reception locations. Many will let you use their facility for free for paying for the catering.

Look for part-time caterers on Craigslist or through friends. You can find many good… Continue

What is your price point…Really?

Before you begin to shop for a gown it is important to know what your realistic price point is. Whether you’re paying for your gown or someone else is make sure that you know how much is too much. Not only do you need to know how much you can spend you need to know how much including alterations which can run upwards of $250.00. The last thing you want to do is go in thinking your budget is one thing to fall in love with a dress you can’t afford. And an argument with mom in the middle of the…
