Wedding Tipping: Who? How Much?

To tip or not to tip?  That is the question on the minds of many brides and grooms on their wedding day.  Although it is not expected by vendors, it is certainly appreciated.

So, then who do you tip and how much?  In my option, I think that the vendors and/or staff who are deserving of an extra little something, are those who go above and beyond or who do an excellent job in making sure that your special…

Wedding Bouquets

There's no doubt that wedding bouquets are one of the most photographed details from a wedding.  It's important that you choose high quality flowers.  What does that mean?  There have been times when we have zoomed in to take a photograph of a brides bouquet only to see wilting flowers or flowers with brown all around the edges.  That's not what you want for your wedding day.  You want a bouquet that will photograph beautifully…

Blenheim Palace expedition!!

Hi guys - just looking out into the snow has reminded me of a wedding we played for last winter!! We go caught in a blizzard on the M40 on the way to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. A lorry had jack - knifed in front of us and the traffic came to a standstill!! We arrived at Blenheim 5 hours after the original time for the wedding!  The guests had all been kept occupied with a tipple or two and were very merry by the time we arrived!! We set up in record time in the ceremony room and waited…

Do You Know What Pinterest Is?

Pinterest is all the rage now, everyone is creating boards. It is a great visual of what we sell, love, give us inspiration and so much more. I would love you to take a look out our boards and tell us what you think. Once your boards are created, people (friends, etc) start liking or re-pinning them and it gets very addicting. Right now though, it's still invite only, so leave your emails…

I Do Venues: Swedenborgian Church ~ Sneak Preview

Photography by: Lisa Lefkowitz

Summary

The little brick church on the corner of Lyon and Washington Streets can be misleading. Resting quietly in the refined neighborhood of Pacific Heights, this simple chapel and surrounding garden is a virtual who's who of early California history. Contributions by famed California architect, Bernard Maybeck, nature…

Ariella String Duo increasingly popular!

Our new venture, the string duo, is being booked up for 2012. The duo comprises violin and cello and can be a perfect addition to an intimate wedding ceremony. As there are only 2 players less space is required. The repertoire for this group  consists of all the usual traditional wedding ceremony music. However, we are constantly developing and expanding our music so this will increase as time goes on. We are hoping to be able to offer the duo for ceremony and drinks reception in the near…

How To Construct A Seating Chart For Your Wedding

One of the dreaded tasks of planning a wedding is most definitely the seating chart.  Trying to determine who should sit with who is daunting and may stir up the thoughts of running away to elope.  Aunt Millie can't sit next to Grandpa Joe or they will argue all night, mom's friend, Tina, doesn't know anyone so she needs to sit with mom, yet she is not important enough to be at the parent's table, cousin Tom is a dud and will bring down the energy at his table so he shouldn't sit with the…
