It started out so sweet. A few days of bliss in the foothills of the North Carolina mountains. We were so secretive about the engagement since we wanted to bask in in for a while. Our family know that day, but we waited a few days to make the official announcement via phone and facebook. That is so funny to me because I honestly can't think how I would tell everyone without facebook or…

Mother son wedding songs, father daughter wedding songs, first dance wedding songs

The article below tells you how my wedding song writing career started.

When my son told me he was getting married, I knew I wanted to write a song for him and his new bride.  My intention was to give him something special and personal.  As I started to write the mother song song, it became more obvious to me that it would be a…

Our wedding contestant winners.  Its in the making but we finally got their engagement pictures.  There was a point where I felt the pressure of closing down the business, but we were hopeful something good will happen.  They are heaven sent.

Addressing Wedding Invitations for Mailing

Today, we are covering the etiquette guidelines for addressing wedding invitations for mailing. For those invitation styles that come with double envelopes, this would apply to the outer envelopes (a previous post covered addressing the inner envelopes).

Remember, it is recommended that you address your envelopes before inserting your wedding invitations. This avoids having an uneven writing surface and prevents any indentations on the…

I'm a vendor, no longer a bride.

Hi all.

We have called the wedding off days ago. I'm not going into the details. I wanted to let you know (in light of a vendor finding me on facebook) I am no longer planning a wedding. Please respect my wishes to only network on a business level and not as a bride.

It still hurts to read email and respond to phone calls and delete Facebook posts wedding planning related.

Additionally it still hurts to be a travel vendor right now.…

The best thing about photographing a wedding

There is no better moment in capturing a wedding than seeing the bride's smile as she enters the ceremony and see all eyes on her.  Capturing that moment is one of many reasons I love photographing weddings.

To know that the bride is counting on me to capture the moments she herself cannot see, the look on her face, the cute smile on the flower girl's face as she, sometimes running, comes down the isle.  Capturing the parent's faces as their children exchange vows.. all these…

Jeri and Chris… winter wedding

Their sweet wedding took place on USC’s campus. The campus is beautiful and really gave us some amazing photos. I loved Jerri’s empire waist ball gown… WITH POCKETS! I kinda always freak out over wedding dresses with pockets! Jerri and Chris are beautiful together. You could tell how excited they were about the day, they just kept smiling… the way little kids smile about Disney World! It was an amazing day, and we had so much fun working with them both! Congratulations to you…
