Imagine getting a phone call saying that someone had heard that your reception venue was closing…and your wedding is nine weeks away! Last week, this happened to one of our brides.
She called to let us know what she had heard and that she was on her way to the venue with a copy of her contract. We sprang into action contacting venues in the same general area hoping they had her wedding date available.
The past few days, she has…

Over the weekend, during some insomniac moments, I decided to do some browsing through various sites. During my sessions, I came across some really awesome color combinations – many of which are this year’s hottest colors!
Here are just a few:
Orange and Hot Pink
Tiffany blue paired with Black and White
Turquoise and Lime Green (or, citrone)
Purple (lighter shades, like Lilac) with Black

When I was doing custom, hand-crafted, invitation designs, I worked with a bride who had a vision about what she wanted and how. Her color combination was red and gold – but not just any red; it had to be scarlet. I immediately grasped this client’s idea as I completely fell in love with the color combination. Her invitations turned out to be absolutely stunning. Ever since, I’ve tried to work with this color combination as much as I can. I mean really, I wish I had thought of this color…

Now that you have your guest list complete, it is time to order your invitations. This should be done about four to five months before the wedding. Make sure you order about a dozen more than you actually need in case you make mistake when addressing them. Also, keep in mind what other items you might need printed, such as place cards, napkins, thank you cards or even programs. Invitations should be sent out six weeks before the wedding with enough postage on the return envelope and with an…

It's easy to have your heart set on an outdoor wedding. Perhaps you envision your ceremony outdoors in a garden, in a grove, at a vineyard, on a mountainside, by a lake, or on a pleasant patio. Perhaps you envision your guests mingling outdoors during cocktails. Perhaps your reception site even offers a pleasant outdoor setting for dinner or dancing, or both.
If your dream wedding involves the outdoors, do give careful thought to your "plan B" in case of rain or other inclement…

I truly believe that when you invite a guest to a wedding you should be treating them with the same hospitality that you would give them if you had invited them into your own home. With out-of-town guests this concept becomes even more important as you have not only invited them to your wedding; but they were kind enough to travel to a far off location to attend. I've compiled a list of 15 nice gestures that can be made to help your out-of-town guests enjoy their stay more.
1. Get a…

Did you know that even in January, anywhere in the US, you can have fresh rose petals arrive at your wedding venue fresh and ready to use. Our rose petals come from roses grown in sunny California inside our greenhouses where it is warm and dry. We process orders for fresh rose petals every week of the year in many colors. One of the most popular ways to use fresh rose petals is to line a wedding…
