A little about yourself and what you have to offer this wedding community?
Although I am a mother of 3 kids, I'd like to say I've retained my chic fashion forward self. I don't own any mom jeans, but I can't tell you I sometimes don't wear my PJ's during the day from time to time lol! I however NEVER leave my house with out one of my pretty flowers atop my head!
Color is what inspires me, unexpected color combinations and textures. Layers upon layers of colorful goodness is what makes my heart go pitter patter. When in the fabric store I can spend hours just going through the racks, touching the fabric and envisioning what they would look like paired with another fabric. How it will give my purses dimension and my hair accessories POP. I think about who would carry a purse in those colors and where would they be going. I can't even talk about what my heart does in the feather shop!! My palms get sweaty and I have a hard time just picking a few choices. I think I might be the only girl who frequents such shop, and the men in there find it fascinating what I'm using my feathers for. I've come to know the owner well, Don is his name, and he always scoots me to the front of the line, as he says "Jamie's the only lady that comes to my shop and I will treat her as such". Needless to say I spend ungodly amounts of money and time there and have a pretty fantastic collection of feathers in every color imaginable, striped, polka doted, fluffy, streamlined, long, short, you name it I GOT IT!
I have a lot of fun working with brides on their collections. I've found that weddings these days can take more risks then when I got married 12 years ago (loves ya B!) colors are way more out there, and color pairing is way more bold than years past. The idea of a bridesmaid clutch to match their dress is genius if you ask me!! It doubles as their bouquet AND their gift. I would have peed my pants if I got something that amazing as my gift! I do work really hard to make each bride's vision come to life. I make lots of prototypes and send lots of emails with pictures until I take your breath away. Which by the way is my favorite part. When I get the email that says "HOLY SMOKES!! Better than I ever imagined!!" I do the Tiger Woods "YES, fist pump" and i feel triumphant. I gift wrap each collection, and when I send you your purses and accessories they feel like my little babies going out in the world, and the anticipation of them to get to you is as great and huge for me as it is from my customers.
