A little about yourself and what you have to offer this wedding community?
"We're about as rustic and down home as you can get. We just started building our venue the middle of August 2010. Our first wedding was Sept. 18th, my oldest daughter. My folks were in the cattle business years ago. We've taken the barn and cleaned it up and put in lighting. There is a small covered patio and an open patio. We've built an archway at the edge of the open patio; the beginning of the aisle. The aisle is 56 feet long and ends in a 10' x 14' gazebo. A 12 person bridal party fits nicely inside it. The manger where the weaning calves were fed has been converted into an ice trough for beverages. Another manger has been covered for gift table and sign in. The portable manger is now a covered flower box at the entrance. We have planted many, many shrubs and flowers. Moon flowers on the front fence will greet guests. All of the flowering shrubs will bloom in white when in season with the exception of the pale yellow honeysuckle which will someday cover a couple of old stumps in the far corner of the outdoor wedding area. The addition of plants and acreage is on going. The seating in front of the gazebo is benches of brick and wood. Right now they seat about 60 but they too are growing in number. We are doing all the work ourselves. It's a family thing. Mom can cook the rehearsal dinner if you like or you can have it catered. There is a guest house that can be used for the bridal party. It's a two day rental, from noon on Friday until noon on Sunday. As of now chairs and tables must be rented separate for the main room inside of the barn. There are tables in one of the small rooms which can be used for serving food. There are all types of old farm items on the walls for decor but of course you'll add your own flowers, ribbons, etc. Give us a call. We'll be happy to accommodate you."
