Each couple is different, each story is different. I am there to capture your story, not to be in the way. You won't find me lugging equipment around, and shouting for people to stand in a certain pose. I am there to capture the event as it unfolds, with as little interruption as necessary.
When I describe my style of photography, there is no one word that can encompass all of it. I would say that it is a mix of photojournalism, fine art, portraiture, and lifestyle photography. I enjoy what I do, and will forever love being able to capture amazing moments and create wonderful memories for you. I want you to love the images from your wedding day as much as you love each other. The goal is to recreate the happiness, laughter, tears, joy and fun of your day.
I am a firm believer that one should not be doing something if it does not make them happy. Photography takes me to another level, and I will forever cherish it. Being able to capture and tell your story, create memories, transport you back to that moment; the first kiss, is what I live to do.
Nothing to me is more powerful than love.

Let me set the scene for you. A tall gorgeous redhead in a custom designed 1950's inspired wedding dress. A tall bearded gentleman in a suave hat and perhaps the most awesome vintage mens jacket ever. Then let's add dark teal peep toe pumps, and a bouquet made of sparkling brooches and pins. What does all of that add up to? Polly and Josh's epic Rock the Dress/Rock the Frock session! Oh, and let's not forget that it was about 30 degrees outside, but from the looks of the photos, you can…

This Saturday was a great day for an engagement shoot! The weather was perfect, the sun wasn't too bright, and the leaves were all gorgeous. Amy, Matt, and myself headed to Longwood Gardens for their session on that lovely day. Now just a few weeks prior, I did another engagement session there, and the flowers were all lush and beautiful and gorgeous. When we arrived there on Saturday, there were close to no flowers!!! Well obviously they were out of season, but we still made the best of it,…

Today was perfect weather for a gorgeous fall wedding! I had the lovely opportunity of photographing the wedding of Kathryn and Ken at the Frog Hollow Golf Club today, and I just couldn't wait to post some previews. The wedding was a very intimate affair, with close family and friends surrounding the bride and groom. This was actually the first wedding where I went from photographer to guest. I haven't been to a wedding as a guest in YEARS! So it was a nice change of pace. Although, about five…

This past Saturday I photographed the most epic wedding ever. Well, it was actually a vow renewal, but epic none the less. Why was it epic? It was a pirate wedding! 9-25-2010 was the first fay of Pirate Weekend at the Maryland Renaissance Fair, which I attend quite often. So I was stoked when Rita asked me to cover her vow renewal at the renaissance fair itself. Everyone, including the officiant were dressed as pirates. This was Ritas' first time being dressed in ren garb, as a person who is…
