Hello.  We are VonneDave`.  Wedding consulting/planning services.  We have an in house florist and DJ, however, we do work with others outside of that network for overflow business.  Also, we have a custom chocolate business.  We create custom chocolate treats for any occasion.  With weddings, it is ideal for chocolate fountains, centerpieces, and even creative wedding favors!  We have a vendor page that we are setting up and would love to swap links for more advertisement.  Visit us at www.VonneDave.com click on VonneDave Weddings tab and you'll find everything there:)

We are in Southern California, however, we can ship our chocolate treats nation wide!

Hey everybody! Here's a really helpful article on reciprocal linking that I thought I should share: The Real Problem with Reciprocal Linking.

A useful and important read for those who are exchanging links with other vendors. Don't just link out to anyone. It's important to not only consider relevance, but utility as well. How useful is this vendor likely to be to you in the future, and vice versa. Do you plan on making a connection that will be more meaningful for both of you than a simple link on your website (and theirs)?

Here's an example: if you work in New York City, and don't plan on travelling more than 200 miles outside of NYC, it doesn't make sense to link to vendors in California just for the sake of getting a link back when the traffic you'll generate from that link will most likely be from people who won't contact you because you're too far away. Remember, the key is useful traffic generation. What good are high search engine rankings if those clicks don't convert to customers?

The article makes some really useful points. And I can assert with confidence that Google is likely more concerned with utility than relevance, because I used to do work as a website/search engine rater. I'm also an in-house SEO for a company now, so I've read a lot of different things on this debate. This is one of the best arguments I've seen so far. Just food for thought...

I'd love to hear your comments!

And if you feel my site and services are both useful and relevant to you and your business, please consider linking to it: http://www.solacesing.com/.

But please don't do so only to get a link back from me, as I will only link out to those that will be of more utility to me in the future than just a random link. I provide custom/original songwriting services for weddings and special events, and I'd love to partner with photographers and videographers who would be willing to have their photos and videos used in a video/photo slideshow for customers who purchase a song from me. (That's an example of making a useful connection with another vendor that goes beyond linkbuilding...) Also, I plan to feature a unique vendor monthly on my blog, and as the website and business grow this could be beneficial to anyone I decide to feature. Visit the link for more info! Thanks and good luck to all!

Hi folks. Just to get us back on track:

As it says above, "If you want to exchange links with other Members, list your link here along with a one-sentence biz description." Along these lines, may I suggest the following: Provide your name (business, website, whatever you want), your description (succinct is preferable), and the URL for your link. In exchange, there should be an indication where the entity who is linking to you can send their link information for a reciprocal link back to their wedding-related site.

If you're interested, here's my information:

Name: Wedding Celebrations!

Description: I would be happy to give my complete and undivided attention to the planning, preparation, and direction of your wedding's entertainment experience.

URL: http://www.myrtlebeachdj.com

Email your information to: larrygreen@sc.rr.com I'll place your link here
