How to regroup when a networking opp. or bridal show fails?

I've thrown many networking socials and even 2 bridal fairs. It turned out to be a good tool for the vendors but not even a third of the crows we expected showed up. Now to other business buddies and vendors we look like failures! How do u bounce back from that?
