I almost had a new client. Someone referred my services to her because her wedding is in August and she hasn't even signed a contract yet for her venue plus not to mention she was all over the place and didn't know what she was doing. Needless to say, I was told that she became offended. Well, I hope she gets a venue the clock is ticking......

I know that when I was certified 7 years ago there were two major companies, ABC and Weddings Beautiful Worldwide... I went with WBW because their course load seemed significantly larger to me. I'm sure they are both fine and comparable, just thought I'd add my two cents! I will say that no bride has ever asked if I was certified and I didn't take the course for that reason- although they tell you every bride will ask to see your diploma :) I wanted to have a good base of general knowledge instead of many planners who get married and decide they are ready to charge for their services. The course helped with budget analysis, how to run a rehearsal and the different types of religious ceremony options, how to properly address and stuff invitations, etc etc.. Lots of great information to help jump start my company.

Hello! So glad to meet you all! I'm based in Orlando and have been in the event & hospitality biz most of my adult life! It's so exciting to see how technology is constantly advancing every aspect of this industry and our businesses - there are such great things on the horizon!
