The Name Change kit For Brides With Software- Wedding Planners- We would be glad to discuss the new California Name Change Equity Act of 2007 with any Californian wedding planner wanting clarity on the issue. In fact, we have just corrected a California County Clerk today, as to their misunderstanding of the law. This misunderstanding lead to a bride's declaration of name change under duress. As a result, the now-married-bride will need to go to court to rescind her declaration. In short, we are the National source for bride last name change for over 17 years. Carolyn,
Yes, I have run into the same issue with reception venues telling brides they offer wedding consulting/planning services. Unfortunately for the bride, she doesn't realize what she's NOT getting by going with a venue's planner. I have found this type of planner really only has the venue's best interest in mind and doesn't take care of the bride. It's too late when the bride arrives on wedding day to find she's not getting what she hoped for. I hear all too often the words, "I wish I had hired you."
I have been in the industry for 20 years. With the economy in the shape it is in I realize that people are trying different approaches to getting business. I am a firm believer in being the best and sticking to what you do. I was wondering if other planners in other cities have run into the problem of venues and caterers telling their clients that they do not need a consultant/planner, that they provide one. I am doing my best to educate my brides that this is not the same thing. Anyone else out there meeting this situation?
