I'm so mad!
I set up a meeting with a potential bride a week ago for today, wont you know, she never showed up. She did call and said she didn't want to hire a photographer after all, she has a large family with cameras, and they are going to take pictures.
Ok, weren't you thinking about that before??
Luckily, no money spent, and no harm done.

I had few potential customers who stood me up, one lady was actually hunting me down for about 2 weeks, even when i was on my vacation out of state. But then she disappeared... Go figure!

I will put my add on CL if i have a good deal going, and currently we have a contest, so that listing is still active. Other than that, i see no point. Yes it's free, yes its possibility of getting something/someone, but you will always get what you paid for, and you know what you pay for CL! Sometimes i read through the adds and i want to puke, there are real "Gems" popping here and there.
So, do you advertise on Graig list at all? Any luck?
What other sites you advertise and did you get any leads?

Thanks for sharing!

Honey,

Do not be mad just move on. May the bride get what she want. for get it!
I run adds on Craig's list when I'm just trying to fill some empty dates...it works well but it's always cheap packages so. I haven't had alot of luck with advertising elsewhere. I did run google add words & well...it did pay for itself. Another photographer recommended that I do a facebook add....I'm thinking of giving that a try. They are succesful with it.
Facebook is an awesome way to connect with a broader network. Creating a Facebook page for your business will allow friends of friends to see your work. I am still working on mine, but have already booked one event since starting just 2 weeks ago. Become a fan of my page and I will do the same for you. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Atlanta-GA/Adore-Amore-Photography/96...
I do have a Facebook, but i need to update it. Good idea, and thank you for all your replies!!
I'll check out your pages AA, thanks for the "fan" part :o)
