Nyack Seaport in Nyack N.Y. but I guess that does not count. In New Jersey I like to shoot at the Florentine Gardens in Rivervale and also at Seasons in Washington Township N.J.
For me a good shoot goes well beyond the scenery, as a photographer I need some time to create and work with the people in my own way. All the pressure can be overwhelming for the bride and groom as the clock ticks closer to the cocktail hour and the family are all missing and uncooperative. The 3 places I mentioned have a terrific staff that allow for the photo shoot to go well. They will keep the family together and walkie talkie the guests needed for the family portraits. I can then get a little bit more creative knowing that the caterer has everything under control. We like to keep things moving while picture taking and usually make the shoot enjoyable for everyone involved.
