Promoters all over Southern California asking....
Where have all the brides gone and what is happening to the vendor participation?
I've been in the industry for many years and days seem to be gone where there were 3 bridal fashion shows at each event. Hundreds of vendors and thousands of actual brides and grooms seeking services. With the industry totally saturated in every which way possible it is getting extremely difficult for event promoters who don't have large companies funding them to stay alive. Those of us who have been around for many years are feeling the pinch.. BIG TME.
I'm still a huge believer in assisting your vendors to help them in every way possible display their products and services and give additional space, incentives and discounts to help them keep their business in the forefront of today's buyers. But the economy and the abundance of shows really hurts the industry. Some new promoters trying it once or twice and promising the world to the vendors and really just not pulling it. Hurts us.
For the brides..okay you can pretty much get anything you want and then some from the internet. Yet you don't get that personal attention, the caring your event planners and their vendors will give you. The shows STILL offer fabulous savings and a diversity you can share with your wedding party, family and friends. A day out together . .. shopping, sampling and more. So, why.. do we have a huge decrease in the attendance and how do we get them back to the shows to also gain trust and interest of the vendors?
Would love some serious postive thoughts on this. Thanks
Linda
