Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone in the invitation and stationery business can make some recommendations for and online printing service?
I currently use a local printer, but I have not been satisfied with their work lately so I am looking to switch. Unfortunately, I live in a really small town and I don't have many local options. So that's why I'm looking to switch to an online service.
I have looked around a bit online, but I'm running into some problems:
1. I need to be able to do custom sizes.
2. Most offer 250 as the lowest quantity available and most of my brides average around 100 - 150.
3. I need to be able to print on envelopes as well.
My other option is find a printer in one of the larger towns, but they are 40-60 minutes away. I don't have that kind of time, because I still have another full time job (I'm currently trying to build up my invitation business so that I can transition in to full time self-employment).
Does anyone have any advice on the matter? It would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Nicole,
I use Zazzle.com for my printing needs ... they are able to do a variety of sizes and offer minimums of 10 (samples). They also have envelope printing. Their print quality is very good and they guarantee their printing with 30 day money-back. I'm not sure they will cover all that you need but it's worth a look. Here's additional information on their paper types. http://www.squidoo.com/zazzlepaper
I agree that Zazzle is a great choice for printing wedding stationery, and we've been using them for 4 years. They have a great selection of sizes available on invitation cards, and you can also customize envelopes. They also have several paper types, and I've been very happy with their print quality.

Thanks so much for the suggestions everyone! Zazzle seems like the way to go. I ordered some samples yesterday!
I am going to still have to find a new local(ish) printer to go to for the very custom jobs. I like to offer my brides real "out of the box" thinking when they are looking for something truly unique, and unfortunately that will require working with a printer. I am definitely going to take Lisa's advice for interviewing printers.
I use CatPrint.com for my printing needs (I'm a blogger and stationery designer). They can do everything you list (no minimum quantities, too), and their prices are very low. They do high-quality print jobs, though. You can choose from linen, cotton, or more middle-grade papers.
They can also do more detailed printing, since they have a brick-and-mortar shop too (in NY), and they are a relatively small operation.
I'm glad! Their samples are really great, too. And free!
I bought my wedding invitations there, and paid $125 for 120 copies of my save the dates, invitations, RSVPs, and accommodations cards.
The only thing I don't like about them is their limited supply of envelope colors. I was looking for Kraft colored envelopes and they didn't have them. Be sure to remember an envelope sample when you ask for samples.
I just ordered my sample book! Zazzle was good but kinda expensive. And the best part is that CatPrint can do completely custom sizes, which is what most online printing lacked.
For colored envelopes, I usually use Paper-Source.com anyways. The quality is really good. They don't print, but I can take those to some place local if I need to.
This is exactly what I needed!
