Hope a little help for you.
Here are some helpful tips:
- Limited the amount of driving your guest will need to do. Consider renting a bus, or trolley orusing public transportation for your guest.
- Do not register for gifts that you may not necessarily need, instead offer an option to haveguest donate to a charity of your choice in your name.
- We all know that save-the-dates, invitations, RSVP cards, seating programs, menu cards, seating cards, thank you cards uses a ton of paper, you might consider using recycled paper, soyink or even going digital.
- Instead of spending thousands of dollars on a dress rent one or use a vintage dress form yourfamily and have it altered to fit your style.
- There are also many alternatives to your ring choice. If you are looking to stay away from theblood diamonds use vintage rings, family heirlooms or lab created diamonds.
- Instead of throwing away left over foods at the reception, simply donate them to a homelessshelter.
- Give out eco- friendly favors such as organic chocolates, candles, bird seed, plantable seeds togrow flowers, or organic soaps.
- For your honeymoon consider going somewhere local, take a relaxing train ride across thecountry or take an eco- friendly trip by off setting your trip’s carbon dioxide emissions.
- get married outside
- use a tent
- have a candle lit wedding

I wanted to make our wedding eco-friendly, but our budgetary constraints took center stage, so I did what I could.
I created our bouquets and bouts out of clay...which I now create and sell via Etsy.
I purchased tree-free, fair trade paper from NepalesePaper.com to create our invitations, place cards and table numbers.
No tchotchkes for favors...donations to favorite charities and homemade cookies served on platters instead, thanks to my Aunts. (We now use those platters, large clear glass plates, as our dinnerware. : )
I bought my wedding gown from a bride on recycledbride.com...and resold it to another bride for a third life.
I bought silk centerpieces and vases from other brides, augmented them for our centerpieces, and am in the process of selling them to other brides.
We ordered our wedding rings from a local jeweler who uses recycled gold and silver.
Our B&B was less than 2 miles away from our venue, and we were married in the same location as our reception.
We traveled to and from the ceremony/reception site in our own car.
There is probably more, but that is all I can think of for now. : )
