I wish Brides new proper etiquette when making appointments and keeping appointments. A bride shouldn't expect you to be available every day of the week and when you do make a special appointment, whether late night or on a weekend, to keep the appointment or cancel at least 24 hours in advance.

We instated a $50. fee for No Show/No Calls (like the Dentist) during Prom Season and kept it. The results are amazing.

I don't know why they think it's ok to just not show....I've been caught in that a few times this past year. So upsetting and rude!

How fast their wedding day goes! The advice that we give them is meant to make the day more fun for them so that they can actually enjoy it. If they could relax, trust us and STOP micro-managing, they would be able to maximize their party more.

...would be great for brides to research the type of look they want before coming to a bridal makep trial, then they can work closely together with the MUA to find the perfect look that they are trying to achieve...:))

That my materials alone are expensive and going up! Let alone what I have to pay myself for hours of labor in order to keep my doors open.

I wish brides knew that having a specialty coffee bar at their reception is a perfect complement to the exquisite wedding cake they're serving. Here are ten more reasons to have an espresso bar at a wedding reception.

I wish they knew how important it is TO come to me for my services!! So many brides think they can "do it themselves". Well, you may be able to hire vendors yourself and pick out your invitations and your dress. But, on that day when you are walking down that aisle to the rest of your life- there needs to be back up that isn't your or your mother. Hiring a planner, even for the day of, is the best investment you can make in your wedding.

Wow. A whole lot of great responses.

I think brides should know two things.

One is that this is something they've never done before (plan a wedding) and they need not only all the help they can get, but the drive to hang in through this intense planning time.

Second, if I could wave a magic wand, I would wish for them to go to the future. Go into the future and have their future selves tell them what they need to know now.
