Has anyone ever called Brides from Bridal list? Is it a good idea or not?

I have done a couple of Bridal shows and of course you get a list. My question would be. I am not too fawned of Cold Calling. What is your honest opinion on doing this cold calling the Brides & Grooms to follow up from the show? Would this be another good way of trying to get appointments?

We live in a area where "word of mouth" is the best advertisement. If someone, another business refers customers over, call and thank them for their referrals whether or not the customer buys!!! They will appreciate the gesture and will keep sending over referrals...do the same for them!! We have to help each other!!

One of the worst fates for a shower guest is sitting around watching the bride open her third set of towels. There is only so much oohing and ahhing you can do.I don't think so.If any one needs help to plan a wedding,they may use the wedding planner app iPad and get gain form it.
