I have advertised in every possible way and I refuse to do (pay for) any more advertisment until I see some results from the one's I already have. Can anyone help???

OK, I've got a few suggestions (even though I'm just starting up again after 2 years off so I'm having the same issues, lol).

I had a look at your website, and would strongly suggest losing the music - I've read heaps of website promotion articles that all seem to agree that music is offputting and distraction, especially when so many potential customers could be accessing it from work.

I also had trouble with a few of your links - I couldn't actually get in to see the details of any of your packages - so you may want to take a look at those.

I'm focussing a lot more at the moment on social marketing via Facebook and Twitter. I started by promoting my pages to existing friends, then joined heaps of networking pages on FB and followed heaps of the same on Twitter. If you're signed up for those, add the links to your website.

Have you joined all the free directories in your area? Not just wedding ones, but general business ones? I'm in Australia, so proably won't use the same ones as you, but if you just google online business directories in your area I'm sure you'll come up with heaps. Most of them just let you put name, contact details, link to website and a brief summary, but they really help you show up in google and yahoo searches etc.

That's all I can think of for now, so I hope that helps. If you try anything else that works for you please let me know!

I feel your pain. I have a wedding consignment shop that has done some business, but I have yet to plan a wedding. Sometimes it does get really frustrating. I think once I get the first one, it will be a little better after that. I too am concentrating on Facebook, Twitter and my blog. I put my info out on free sites as well. It just is going to take time so hang in there and know you are not alone!

Just another thought - when I first started up my wedding planning business 2 years ago I did a couple of weddings for friends of friends for free to build up some word-of-mouth business and to use their testimonials on my website.

It wasn't a full wedding planning service, taking me weeks on end, more of a jumping in a month or 2 before the big day and helping them finalise everything, then running it all on the day as well.

It's great experience, great exposure and great for networking.
