Charging for Tastings

I am curious as to what other caterers charge for tastings. I've rarely been asked to do them, but now find myself in that position. I did one a couple of years ago for a couple, and charged them $75 ( just the 2 of them). After that, one of my chefs told me another caterer he works with charges up to $1,000 for tastings (I think that's a bit excessive), but that the prospect can invite as many as 10 people. I think the one I've just been asked to do will be for about 4-6 people.
