Do you think it's okay to use posts from the popular wedding blogs on your own blog?  As long as they are credited and linked back to?  I am not a big writer, I'm a designer and it takes so much time for me to write a blog.  Thanks.

I think it is best to ask the other bloggers for their permission first. I think most bloggers will be OK with it but you will need to ask them.
I agree. You should ask permission. But that shouldn't be all you have on your blog.
If you use the entire contents of someone else's blog post on your blog, it will be REALLY BAD for your website. This is considered "duplicate content" by Google and they will penalize you for it. This means less visibility in the search engines and you could even be de-indexed. All that good work you're trying to do by blogging goes down the toilet.

However, you can absolutely talk ABOUT someone else's blog post or quote a small piece of it on your blog. Of course, asking permission first is essential and linking to them is common courtesy.

(TIP: you can use other people's blogs as your own content WITHOUT getting a duplicate content penalty if you use their RSS feed. You'll probably need a plugin to do this.)

Why not open your blog up to guest blog posts? Other wedding vendors or brides would write your articles for free. In return, you give them a link to their site. That's less work for you and a big benefit for them.

You can connect with guest bloggers on sites like www.MyGuestBlog.com and www.BloggerLinkUp.com.

Hope this helps!

Stephanie
Thank you everyone for your feedback and the info about the bloggers. I really appreciate it.
