We are looking to spend our ad dollars (which are of course limited) in a different way this year.  Print has given us little return in the recent years so we are looking at blog sponsorships.  However, every blog has different terms, ad locations and costs.  Most of the sites have vendor directories for a yearly fee and then home page tiles for a monthly fee.  Has anyone done this and found a certain type of blog advertising to be most profitable?  Paying yearly for a vendor directory is the best deal for the money, but doesn't give as much ready exposure as the monthly home page tile.  Just trying to make a careful decision!

My sister used to have an ad on many beauty blogs, since the majority of them were women and had loads of traffic. She said that one of her favorite blogs to work with was simplystephy.com because she was very professional and had an ideal viewship for her buisness. Currently simplystephy.com isn't accepting any ad space because she is redesigning her site this month and last month. I'm sure if you email her on the site she will give you more details. I also recommend to start off getting a monthly ad (depending on the deal) for a few months, and if the price is worth it possibly get the yearly space to reserve your spot.
