Ask a Photographer

Hello all! I just joined Bridal Tweet (I found this site through OneWed.com) and I think the people who created it are brilliant! What a great way for brides to get opinions and advice from photographers from all over, without having to go through dozens of sites and submit individual inquiries and feeling obliged to keep up contact when they really don't want to.

Whenever I'm talking with a potential client, I always encourage them to ask as many questions as possible, whether about my services or wedding photography in general. There are so many ways to run a photography business, and in some larger cities the wedding market is flooded with photographers! And, unfortunately, since the emergence of digital photography the field has gotten quite crowded, and--also unfortunately--there are many people calling themselves professional photographers just because they've purchase a $3,000 camera.

I'm in Southern California (Los Angeles are) and am more than happy to answer any questions anyone might have about wedding photography. I quit my full-time job about 5 years ago to become a full-time photographer. In addition to weddings, I shoot portrait session, commercial & fashion sessions and advertising. I feel that this range of experience can only help my wedding photography business and it helps keep me inspired.

So thanks for letting me join and introduce myself. I'm really looking forward to reading the forums and getting to know some of you.
