Do you find having a facebook fan page helps your business and generates revenue or is it simply a social site where you just share comments, photos and like each other's pages.

As far as I know I've only gotten a client once off facebook
You might not get clients from Facebook- but you do get your name out there and it does look impressive when you have a large following! It helps with your SEO as well.
I think I may have picked up like 3 or 4 wedding clients from facebook so it can go either way really.
My thinking is it is just a social networking site but I will keep going with it
