Hi I am preparing to exhibit a Bridal Expo next year in april. I am a weddingplanner and I have not done this before. As exhibitors we have to concentrate on decor to. Any ideas, pictures on how I should exhibit and promote my services at this expo?

Thank you,

Iris

Do you have a specialty? I specialize in destination weddings so I use a few resorts I work with through the caribbean

I don't really have a specialty although I do destination weddings to.

I'm doing my first show in January, and what I did to get an idea of how booths and tables are generally set up was ask other planners, and I also did a Google image search on bridal show booths.  I got a good idea of the general set up.  At my show, we each get a 6ft table and 2 chairs.  Because of the small size, I plan on doing a very scaled down display.  I'm having a florist make a few small bouquets, and I'll have a banner with my logo, along with a table runner in my company colors. Since as planners, our service is pretty intangible, it's a good idea to make the booth reflect your style, and how you work.  Consider having a give-away (it's a great way to get your brides to give you their info so you can follow up!), and make sure your marketing materials are up to par!

Good luck, and remember, the secret is in the follow-up. Create a strategy to keep your company in front of the brides you meet for an extended period of time AFTER the show is over.  Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi Jasmine thanks for the tips! now one question though about giveaways: what do you recommend to have as giveaways and to get brides give me some info so I can follow up?

I haven't done an expo yet but have been looking into maybe doing one.  Let me know how it goes and good luck!

Thanks Erin
