Travel Consierge Service???

Hi all! I am an American now living in Greece.

If you were traveling to another country (like Greece) would you consider hiring an American consierge located in that country?? To arrange places to eat, personal tours of the sites, places to shop, etc??? What do you think a service like that is worth and does it sound like a great honeymoon service?

I guess it depends if you were greek american and would know about greece and the places of where to go and where are all the good shops, hot spots are etc.. Im Greek myself and I would know.
I dont think it would matter since you live there now. If you get to know the places around in Greece and learn where and what are the good spots to go etc, then it shouldn't be a problem. I know Santorini is nice Mikonos and where my mom is from Cyprus. you would have to get another plane from Athens to go there it's an hour plane ride about. I really dont think it would matter if an American would do it.
I think it to show places around personal tours etc would be a thousand or so for a honeymoon expense to see the sites
