What deters brides from using a planner?

Hello lovely bridal tweet community,

I am in the process of establishing my wedding planning business in London and I would love to hear what deters brides from using a planner. Is it the perceived cost? the fear that a planner will take over or something else??

Yes cost, being in control and the fact some wedding planners take kick-backs
