One other thought on colors is that the wedding cake & how it's decorated--which seems to be getting more & more elaborate/creative & personal--appears to dictate & coordinate with the overall theme. I recently wrote about the 1st wedding reception we hosted: http://thenationalhotelnj.blogspot.com/2010/04/our-first-wedding-at...
Check out the wedding cake! It was a very personal choice for the bride & groom, & all their friends & family in the room "got it." I'll upload a close-up of the cake here too.
The color schemes that we have been seeing can be described as warm and cozy with a hint of class. Instead of being limited to the usual handful of trendy colors people can now take their favorite color
and add a hint of soft grey giving it that warm farmhouse look and then add a touch of sparkle. Loving Blue Lapis and pewter - warm, crisp, elegant. Carolina Blue and Glossy White- another favorite.
I make bridal accessories (ring pillows, etc.) and although I see a lot of interest in ivory and purples I have more orders for black than any other color.
