Hello:

This is my first marriage and my first time planning a wedding. Right now I am having trouble picking what type of venue will be best for me and my fiance to hold our ceremony. We are not having a big wedding just something small anywhere between 100-150 guests. Can someone give me some tips We are getting married May 19th

Congratulations! There are so many options when it comes to picking a venue. I suggest thinking about the feel and style you want for your wedding and pick a venue that best suits your vision.

Below are links to two posts about finding a ceremony and reception venue that may be helpful. It also provides a link to a list of questions to ask the ceremony and reception site manager during your visit to the site.

Congratulations! We have some great venues here in the Asheville area and May 19th is such a beautiful time up here with all the blooming flowers & trees. Your choices can range from a rustic barn on a mountaintop as Claxton Farm to a stately mansion such as Biltmore Estate with everything in between.
Lots of brides use their wedding to give guests a get-a-way experience to remember....so what type of experience would your guests (and you & your fiance') enjoy? Would a "down-home" venue complete with mountain tops, bon-fire and fishing pond excite them or would you & them be more excited being treated as royalty in a grand estate.
In our area there are many venues between these....Crest Pavilion with beautiful views & rockwork yet retaining an "outdoor" feel, Homewood a smaller less grand private home with polished wood and a secret glen and Castle Ladyhawke private "home" built like a miniature castle complete with turret on a mountaintop. There are a multitued of others as well. Asheville has become one of the destination wedding meccas.

Think of your wedding venue as a vacation spot for you and all your guests.....what type of vay-k would you like to have & give?
If I can be of further help feel free to email me at enchantedflorist@bellsouth.net.
Have fun planning!

Congratulations! I can offer you some great suggestions but I need to know your City and State.

But if you are interested in a Destination Wedding, here are my suggestions:
Paradisus in Costa Rica
Coconut Bay Resort in St. Lucia
Sandals in Antigua
Gansevoort Turks & Caicos
