Dan Angeli has been ritually committed to the fine art of oil painting for the past 15 years.  He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and obtained two majors, Fine Art and Italian Language and Culture.  Upon graduation he traveled to Europe and after a visit to the Musee d'orsay developed an intense passion for plein air painting.  

In 2009 the artist graduated with a Masters of Fine Art from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and Tufts University.  In the same year Dan began live event painting and Captured on Canvas was born.
